ABOUT OUR TICKET FEES

In live entertainment, artist contracts are based on ticket price, excluding the cost of selling the ticket. The industry norm is to present ticketing fees as a separate cost. To ensure transparency and as per our organization's mission, we strive to keep our ticket prices affordable and our ticket fees competitive with those of other venues you may attend. Below are the two types of fees your ticket order may incur.

1) ONLINE CONVENIENCE FEE $8

The online systems needed for you to purchase a ticket from the convenience of your own home are expensive to establish and maintain. "Convenience" means exactly that. The ability to purchase tickets is available to you any time, day or night, but to do so we incur added costs, which as a nonprofit organization, we must pass on to you: our patrons. The Online Convenience Fee is competitive with many other nonprofit venues in our region, and includes the merchant charges your credit card provider adds to your purchase. If you choose, you can pay a smaller fee by coming in person to our Box Office.

2) BOX OFFICE TICKET FEE $6

The Box Office Ticket Fee is applicable if you call or visit the Box Office to order your tickets The Box Office ticket fee is to defray the cost of our Box office personnel who process each order, the cost of printing your tickets, and supports the venue itself, which is owned and operated by the Village of Patchogue. Improvements to the facility, outside those that a landlord would provide, are paid for by Patchogue Theatre. It is our ongoing desire to keep investing and improving the facility to be more capable of bringing our patrons the finest performances possible and making it a wonderful experience for all.

The Box Office is open Wednesday through Sunday, Noon to 6PM, except for Holidays.

IN SUMMARY

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts only gets modest public support as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. The Theatre’s programming has helped bring the venue back to life after decades of stagnation, and in the process, is helping to revive the local economy. We hope to expand this programing over the coming years. The next time you attend a performance, be cognizant of all that went into this evening. How many people have worked hard and often very long hours to ensure that your experience here at Patchogue Theatre is all that it can be.
