Vinnie Medugno is a teacher, singer, and radio host. He teaches performing arts Media Broadcasting which he feels is his greatest accomplishment. Currently, Vinnie has his own radio show every Saturday night on 77WABC. He is no stranger to audiences and lovers of oldies music, as he has opened for many of the greats including Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon and many others.
The Del Satins were formed in 1958 in Manhattan through a merger of two existing street corner groups, The Yorkville Melodies and The Jokers. They chose the name Del Satins as a tribute to The Dells and The Five Satins. In 1961, they recorded their debut single “I Pray for You” followed by “Teardrops Follow Me”. The group today includes original members Stan Zizka and Tom Ferrara along with Edie Van Buren, Charlie Aiello and Emilio Fornatura.
The Earls, often credited as Larry Chance and the Earls, is an American popular music group formed in The Bronx, New York. In 1962, they became known for their signature hit single "Remember Then," which still remains a staple of doo-wop music. Other hits that follow later in their career were “I Believe”, “Life Is But A Dream” & “Never”. After Larry’s passing, the group continued to perform. Today’s current members are Bobby “T” Tribuzio, Vitto Garcia, Chuck Mearizo & Frank Cicerale.
Bob Miranda & The Happenings virtually exploded onto the national charts in May of 1966 with their first single release, "See You In September." The song quickly spiraled up the charts to become an international #1 record throughout the entire summer. With Bob Miranda, the lead singer, the group went to have two more hits, “Go Away Little Girl” & I Got Rhythm.
The Duprees are one of the most outstanding vocal harmonies, serenading audiences with the best love songs ever written. It was over 50 years ago, their “You belong To Me” became a national hit. This was followed by numerous other doo wop favorites that captivated their listeners. Tommy Petillo’s impressively smooth voice is the quintessence of the Duprees.
