For over 40 years, Grammy® winner, New York native and multi-instrumentalist Vince Giordano has been a major force in keeping alive the wonderful genre of American music from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s – an era that shaped our nation. Giordano has played in New York nightclubs and performed concerts at Town Hall, Jazz At Lincoln Center, the Newport Jazz Festival and the 92nd St Y for the past four decades. Giordano has appeared in many films including the “The Cotton Club,” “The Aviator,” “Finding Forrester,” “Revolutionary Road,” “Cafe Society,” and his recording projects include soundtracks for the award-winning “Boardwalk Empire” with vocalists like Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, Neko Case, Leon Redbone, Liza Minnelli, Rufus Wainwright and David Johansen. Giordano and his band, The Nighthawks, have also recorded for Robert DeNiro’s “The Good Shepherd,” Sam Mendes’ “Away We Go,” along with HBO’s “Grey Gardens” and the miniseries “Mildred Pierce.” Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks’ recent projects include Todd Haynes’ Academy Award nominated film “Carol,” and last year’s Emmy Award winning HBO bio-pic “Bessie.” Judy Carmichael will sit in with Vince and his band as a special guest on piano and vocal.
